Summary of Novel “ Wuhtering Height”

Wuthering Height is  name of a big house in Yorkshire, England. The story start form the arrivsl of MR. Lockwood who met Mr. Heathcliff to hire the thrusscross Grange. The house of Heathcliff located not so far from Wuthering Height. Lockwood fell something strange of Heathcliff when they met. Because of that, he try to find out about who Heathcliff is and the history of Wuthering Height from miss Elllen Dean, a housemate who had worked for a long time at Wuthering Height. And the story flow based on explanation from miss Elllen.

In the beginning, the owner of Wuthering Height is Mr Earnshaw, a landlord in Yorkshire who has two children, there are Hindley Earnshaw and Catherine Earnshaw. As he come back from business expedition form Liverpool, Mr Earnshaw take home a a litlle dirty gipsy boy who loafed around the street. They gave name “Heathcliff” by Earnshaw. It is name of his boy who had passed away because of ill. The presence of heathcliif on Earnshaw Family is turn out to be started of disaster in this family. The favoritism of Earshaw who care of Heathcliff more than his childrenself cover the dislikeness and jealous of his first son, Hindley.

In every single chance when his father is not at home, Hindley try to do the bad things to Heathcliff. In contrast, even Heathcliff is called down and humiliated and bullied by Hindley, but he never get fight back. Eventhough his passive behavour id different form what he has deeply on his heart. He keep of what Hindley did to him and let it become vegence that he will rensponse in the future. Differenf form Hindley, the reaction of Catherine to Heathcliff  is very kind. Because of they have same of soul of adventure become chummy fast. This intimate turn to be seed of strong love between Heathcliff and Catherine. Sadly because of different social condition, the relationship between them defied by family. 

Shortly, there is an incident that make the family of Earshaw and family of Mr. Linton start know each other. Mr. Linton is the owner of Thrusscoss Grange. In this meeting, Edgar, son of Mr. Linton meet Catherine and fall in love to her. Even Catherine love Heathcliff but she decided to marry with Edgar Linton.

The decision that has taken by Catherine make Heathcliff run away from Wuthering Height then come back again become a high class and rich man. As he come back to wuthering height, heathcliff arrange the plans to vegeance for Earnshaw and Linton family where he assume that they had broken down his love and life. The first is to broke down Hindley Earnshaw by using his child, Hareton Earnshaw is obedient of Heathcliff. It is work because at that time, Hindley was in bad condition after leaved by his wife who has passed away. The emotional of Hindley is undercontrol and always wreak his emotion to Hareton. Looking at the kindness of Heathcliff, Hareton become obedient to Heathcliff and he think that Heathcliff is very pleasant than his fatherself.

The second vegeance is to destroy Linton’s family. At that time, Catherine and Edgar Linton has been married. By using Isabella, young sister of Edgar who just falling in lovet to him, Heathcliff slowly broke down that family. Then he take Isabella and run away together. Moreover, Catherine died after gave birth of her first daughter that also called “ Catherine”

Heathcliff come back after several years later with Linton, his son while Isabella had passed away. Last vegeance is continue by exploit Linton. Heathcliff who has take away of wuthering Height trickly make little young Cathy falling in love in her counsin, Linton. By using all way, Heathcliff able to deceive Cathy married with his son. Linton get ill and do not get well anymore, and he died. Automaticly the propety of Linton’s family fall into Heathcliff. Now, Wuthering Height and Thrusscross Grange is taken by Heathcliff. That all the way Heathcliff do vegeance to Earnshaw and Linton’s family. But no matter what, Heathcliff still love Catherine until he died even they not to be unite.
