5. AUDIO MEDIA
In this audio visual
media, the writer use song media which the goals are to improve student’s
listening skill, enrich student mastery of vocabulary and develop student
ability in part of speech and lexical meaning of word especially the synonym.
This media used for student in second grade of senior high school. The song
that the writer took is from Maher Zain under the title By My Side. Song is
relaxed audio media, beside the student have to work with the lyric of song in
learning English context, they also can enjoy the music from the song.
Here several steps of
teaching English using song Maher Zain : By My Side
a.
The teacher
provides speaker and Mp3 of the song ( Aviable in any smartphone)
b.
The teacher
spreads the paper of song lyric which has already modified with some missing
word and ask student fill the space blank with the word they heard from the
song.to all students and play the song audio.
c.
After the song end, it is time to discuss the
lyric with man points : Synonym, memorizing vocabularies, and categorize word
into several part of speech.
6. AUDIO VISUAL MEDIA
Generally, audio visual
media refers to video media. Last time, the writer had done demo of teaching
“Conditional Sentences” using video compilation from several movies which
contained the statement of three types of conditional sentence. In that demo,
the writer explained the conditional sentence by using Grammar Translation
Method. After the student understand conditional basically, the write provide
the video for exercise activity. Before the video is played, the writer spread
one paper to all students and ask student to conclude wether the statement
shows video compilation is including into first or second or third’s type of
conditional sentence.
7. BOARDGAME
The writer had created
boardgame to exercise the adjective clause. This boardgame inspired by snake
board game, fast and furious movie, and the date of birth of the writer self (
August, 27th 1997). The game is like the movie of fast and furious 6
where the players is asked to drive the car
in the road until last lap. To make they car drive fast, the players
have mission to solve. The mission is
asnwering question stated in mission card ( the question is all about adjective
clause). If the player can solve that mission, they car will permit to pass one
in fifty blocks in the road.This game is used to play in four people and only
one is the winner.
That's all media that the writer had created modified and already performed in Instructional Media Class. However, there is no best media for teaching English, but a good one is media that created by teacherself based on student ability. It because of teacher know of what their need.
