The Darkside of Disney Fairytales

Disneyland successfully deliver the fairytales story showed in animation movies such as cinderella, snow white, sleeping beauty and other happy ending fairytales. Those animation movies has been watched by a billion people worldwide since it released until now. However, in some part, the story doesn’t show originally based on the script form the author. The disney production adopt the story and modify it consider to the real story  doesn’t relevan with the kids because mostly the story end tragically. These are several fairytales from disney animation movie that has modified.

1.      Snow White

Snow White is one of the most popular disney cartoon after Cinderella. In real story was written by the Grim’s brother, the step-mother didn’t want Snow White’s heart, yet she wish the liver and lung of Snow White. Next fact is, the snow White did not wake up after kissed by the prince, but she was awake because of the running horses’s trot that brought her to the palace. Also, in the end of the real story, the queen was forced to dance with hot shoes until she died.

2.      Cinderella

In the story written by Grim’s brother, the Cinderella’s step sister coerced by her mother to cut her toe, so it can the glass-shoes fit her feet. Then, the life of Cinderella’s step mother and step sisters end tragically because their eyes was bitten by the pigeon which is Cinderella’s friend

3.      Beauty and The Beast

In some version, Beast cannot live with Belle because she still has pure heart. Because of that, Beast forced Belle to cut her hand. In another version metion that, if the Belle do not cut her hand, so the Beast will confine Belle’s father. In next another version, Belle sincerely cut her hand.

4.      Rapunzel

Rapunzel from Disney version is very sweet and far away from tragic. However, in real story, Rapunzel become pregnant because of the prince who always visited her. After admit of her condition to the witch, she was driven out from the witch into the unknown place. Moreover, the prince fall from the tower and got blind because of spine.
